Aston White, adjudged 15 years of age, was ordered to receive twelve strokes of the tamarind switch by His Honour Mr. C.C. Sandford in the Kingston Resident Magistrate's Court, on Monday, when the Magistrate found him guilty on a charge of having ganja in his possession.

White was arrested on the charge by Cons. A.J. Rose, of the Central police station, and according to the prosecution he was seen by the constable coming from a yard in Chestnut Lane with a parcel. The constable called to him and he dropped the parcel and ran, but was chased and overtaken. The parcel when retrieved was found to contain a quantity of the weed.
