Public Spanking is Sentence Given to Two Shoplifters
Winnipeg, Nov. 3 -- (AP) -- Public spankings administered by a relay of strap wielders, will be the punishment of Mike Zaldner and John Gross, members of the Hutterite Colony, 36 miles from here, who were convicted of shoplifting. At the request of Gross' father the men were turned over to the community for punishment. At noon Friday they will be brought before the entire community and relays of spankers will mete out the punishment.
