Three youths birched.
At the Pentridge penal establishment on Friday three youths, named Walter Mulholland, Victor Jacobs, and David Blake, who were each sentenced at the Melbourne General Sessions in September last by Judge Eagleston to terms of imprisonment and hard labour ranging from two years to 18 months for robbery in company, with a birching of 10 strokes each, received their punishment at the hands of the public flagellator yesterday.
