Ageing Seducer Punished

A 64-year-old man of Bugitimwa village, Sironko District received 20 strokes of the cane for having sexual act with an under aged girl.

Elders convened and punished Mzee Weyaga, who had earlier fled naked after bees attacked the couple in a banana plantation.

According to a source, Weyaga, a widower had on several occasions been seen by locals in suspicious movements with young girls from direction of the bush.

According to the source, Weyaga reportedly bought small gifts like sweets, cosmetics and necklaces that he gave out to any young girl in every homestead visited in a bid to lure them into sexual relationships.
