The Traffic Police Department is currently launching a campaign to search and penalize persons violating the traffic laws applied in the Kingdom. The target is to control the occurrences of traffic accidents causing injuries and deaths. The traffic police patrols are active on the road stopping car drivers at random, making sure they carry valid Saudi driving licenses, registering violations and imposing relevant penalties.

Following are the major traffic violations classified with relevant sanction applied for each case:
