[Untitled]The sequel to a series of petty thefts in the offices of the Federal Secretariat was enacted in the Kuala Lumpur police court on Monday when Mujid, a Malay youth, working as peon in the Chief Secretary's office, was charged with the theft of a topee belonging to a clerk and a pair of slippers belonging to the office assistant to the Chief Secretary. The accused was found guilty and sentenced to 10 strokes with a cane, the order being duly executed in the Court. |
