Local faces caning for drugs

A local, Jamal bin Yunus, 28, was sentenced to seven years and ordered to be given six strokes for three charges of trafficking and consumption of methylamphetamine, and possession of drug utensils. Chief Magistrate Hairolarni bin Abd Majid told Jamal he had a very poor record and had a string of drug-related convictions in 1996.
