Category 1
The following offences may subject the offender to the maximum penalty
of expulsion from school/ caning (for boys) and 3 days detention
(for girls) / suspension. Presence of parents in school is also required.
- Rudeness/ Defiance to Principal/Vice-Principal/ Teachers/ Staff
- Truancy
- Leaving school without permission
- Vandalism of schools properties
- Smoking/ in possession of cigarette, lighters
- Fighting/ Assault
- Extortion
- Gangsterism eg. Illegal assembly, rioting and threats
- Theft/ Shoplifting
- Dishonest behaviour eg. cheating during examinations/ tests and
forgery
- Drug/ Inhalant abuse
- Gambling
- Bullying eg.disorderly behaviour involving physical contact, harassment,
intimidation and/ or verbal abuse
- Use of abusive/ obscene/ vulgar language
- Rash Act
Category 2
The following offences may subject the offender to the maximum penalty
of caning(for boys) and 3 days detention (for girls)/ suspension. Presence
of parents in school is also required.
- Non-compliance to any school rule on uniform & appearance (with
reference to diagrams)
- In PE attire after recess
- Consumption of chewing gum/ in possession of chewing gum
- Skipping lesson/CCAs/remedial/any assigned duty/organised programme
- Unpunctuality for lessons and any other scheduled activities eg.
CCAs
- Littering/ Spitting
- Disruptive behaviour interfering with teaching & learning involving
items such as handphones/pagers, toys, games
Category 3
The following offences may subject the offender to the maximum penalty
of counselling/ indefinite suspension. Presence of parents in
school is also required.
- Pupils are to wear the prescribed school uniform and modification
to the uniform is not allowed.
- Pupils who are Singapore citizens must sing the National Anthem
and take the Pledge. Pupils will take the Pledge with the right fist
placed on the heart.
- Boys must be clean-shaven, neat and presentable without a moustache,
beard or long sideburns.
The school reserves the right to amend rules as and when it deems fit,
and when necessary, introduces new rules to protect the interest of
its student and staff population.
The school will carefully deliberate on the merits of each case &
in any dispute the Schools decision is final.
Any other offences/ actions committed not stated in this guide and
not in compliance with the States Law could be expedited at the
discretion of the School.
