Labourer gets 17 years, 26 strokes for rape, robbery
KOTA BARU: A labourer was sentenced to 17 years' jail and 26 strokes of the rotan after he pleaded guilty to raping and robbing a 33-year-old woman, last month, at the Sessions Court, here, today.
Sessions Court judge Nazri Ismail sentenced Faizal Hussain, 22, after he pleaded guilty to three charges against him.
Faizal pleaded guilty to raping the victim, a divorcee, in a car at an underground parking lot in Bazar Tengku Anis, here, at 7.40pm on May 12.
He also pleaded guilty to raping the victim at a location beside a roadside stall at Badang, here, at 8.30pm on the same date.
He admitted to robbing the victim of RM50 in cash and her smartphone at the roadside near Jalan Kampung Banggol, Badang, here at 9.45pm on the same date.
